Currently the government, banks & media claim inflation is very low & unemployment levels are down. The ‘Jobseeker/keeper subsidies in Australia are about to finish & have been cut back heavily already. Farm employers are crying out for more labour. There is a substantial housing shortage which is bringing up real estate prices. There is a shortage of building materials & their prices are rising rapidly. If farmers are going to have to pay workers more & waste produce by not being able to harvest, the price of food is going to rise.
I feel the propaganda does not match up with itself let alone with what people are experiencing. It also does not seem to take account at all of the direction things are headed.
